UNHCR NGO Annual Consultation on YOUTH

The UNHCR NGO Annual Consultation took place in June 2016. This year's focus was on youth. The report of the consultation has been released and draws some important recommendations which will be shared with the Executive Committee of UNHCR.

There are several recommendations in the report including supporting initiatives by youth for youth, engaging youth with rights-based programming that meets their diverse needs, ending all detention of children, more data collection on refugee youth, supporting transitions from school to work, supporting refugees access to the labour market etc.
