Irish Aid Annual Report 2015

Irish Aid is one of the key supporters of DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION in Ireland.
Development Education is an educational process which aims to increase public awareness and understanding of the rapidly changing, interdependent, and unequal world in which we live. Development Education supports people to explore how global justice issues interlink with their ordinary everyday lives and it engages people in analysis, reflection, and action.
Development Education plays an important role in building the conditions in which Ireland can continue to meet ongoing global challenges and as such forms a key part of Ireland's overall aid programme.
Development Education strengthens public understanding of the interconnectedness of global and national poverty and inequality, supporting the Irish public to acquire the necessary knowledge, values and skills to understand the local and global focus of each of the Sustainable Development Goals. Development Education is integral to the successful delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals, inspiring and enabling people to take action to deliver the 17 Goals at local, national, European, and global levels.
Irish Aid's 2015 Annual Report details the many results delivered through Ireland’s aid programme, Irish Aid, across Ireland's partner countries and beyond in 2015. It includes key policy developments, and details of Irish Aid expenditure across the world.
